In the name of your Lord and Cherisher(পড়ো তোমার প্রতিপালকের নামে , ) Who created man, out of a(mere) clot of congealed blood;(যিনি মানূষকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন রক্তপিন্ড থেকে ) Proclaim! And your Lord is Most Bountiful,(পড়ো এবং তোমার প্রতিপালক মহিমান্বিত।) He Who taught (the use of ) the Pen(যিনি কলমের সাহায্যে শিক্ষা দিয়েছেন।) .
